Meet our Trainees
Read some of trainees experiences & case studies below.
Lauren Mason - Religious Studies
Joining the Burnham Teaching Partnership was one of the best decisions I have made. As a Burnham Grammar alumni, Burnham Grammar has always felt like a second home for me, however, I was nervous about the transition from being a past student to now a member of staff.
The support and guidance I have received from all of the teachers within the school has been paramount to my journey to become a teacher.
The partnership works alongside The University of Reading, allowing for trainees within the Partnership to gain experience within a university-based curriculum but also the opportunity to work within outstanding schools within the local area.
I have been provided with many CPD opportunities, and weekly meetings to go over the education behind teaching. allowing me to grow my understanding of how to teach all student from a range of Key stages, abilities and needs.
Whilst being a trainee, and part of the Partnership, you are given a mentor. My mentor is someone who I can always rely on to help, guide and coach me into better teaching practices.
However, the welcoming community of the partnership has allowed me to work with teachers from a range of subjects and discover techniques which will enable me to provide excellent quality lessons within my teaching career.
I would highly recommend the Burnham Teaching Partner to anyone looking to join the teaching profession.
Aqeedah Hussain - Mathematics
I highly recommend the Burnham Teaching Partnership to anyone considering a career in teaching. This well organised program has supported me in developing my own teacher persona as well as providing me with plenty of CPD opportunities to develop my skillset.
I have gained exposure of all key stages and felt like a fully integrated member of the department. The supportive and experienced staff have aided my personal development and my confidence as a teacher has grown immensely.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my training at Burnham Teaching Partnership.
